Archiving and long-term Open Access Policy
Dnipro University of Technology ensures openness and inclusivity of the scientific environment by providing open access to research infrastructure and research outputs. This Policy regulates the processes of collection, systematization and guaranteeing the integrity of scientific publications.
To ensure long-term open access to electronic versions of scientific works, published articles are deposited in institutional repository (https://ir.nmu.org.ua/communities/15140cca-9de0-4a33-be7c-a0952532023c/search), which serves as the primary platform for collecting and storing academic texts and metadata. Archives of the journal issues (volumes) are available on the journal’s website, have no expiration date and are open for downloading and storing full-text versions of articles (https://znp.nmu.org.ua/index.php/uk/arkhiv-zhurnalu). The journal supports the use of high-quality international domain repositories such as CORE and universal servers Zenodo or Figshare.
To implement the principles of open science, modern technical and information tools are used. Data management is carried out in accordance with the requirements of searchability, accessibility, compatibility and reuse (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). Storage, processing and regular backup of scientific data are carried out using the university server infrastructure. Mandatory citation of authors and sources is required to ensure traceability and enable reuse of the research data.
The publishing organization undertakesa long-term commitment to preserving research results, even if they contain restricted data due to legal or contractual obligations. The use of Creative Commons licenses (in particular CC BY) guarantees the legal possibility of copying and distributing materials in the future.
The effectiveness of storage and accessibility is assessed by key performance indicators (KPIs), including the volume and quality of data in open repositories.
