ABSTRACT

Purpose. Design development and implementation of pilot-industrial tests of a working member equipped with a jet pump and a jet agitator system, which allows for the mining of coarse-grained soils from an underwater face and their transportation by a pressure pipeline.

The methods. The standard methods of setting up the experiment and performing the relevant measurements in relation to experimental and industrial tests with an assessment of the impact of the design parameters of the working member on the technological parameters of the system of mining and hydrotransportation of mineral grains are applied.

Findings. Based on the results of determining the technological and design parameters of the working member based on jet pump technology, a pilot-industrial sample was manufactured, a plan was developed and pilot-industrial tests of the mining system of the jet pump dredger were carried out. Experimental and industrial tests were carried out in river landfill conditions, with a mining depth of up to 9 m. During the pilot-industrial experiment, certain mining and technical parameters were also monitored: mining depth, feed height, transportation distance, number of mined stones, etc.

The originality. The established dependences of the characteristic diameter of the extracted stone on the pressure in the pressure water supply and the length of the slurry pipeline allowed for the appropriate settings of the working member and the ZNS 630-90 ejector dredger as a whole, thanks to which it was admitted to industrial operation.

Practical implementation. The technology was developed to enable the extraction and transportation of coarse-grained soils. In experimental and industrial tests, the possibility of extracting and transporting such complex raw materials was ensured by feeding coarse-grained mineral grains with measured sizes and weights to the suction pipe in the underwater face.
